Shona is a Rio 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist and has been playing for England since she was 15 years old. She has progressed through the England age groups over the past 7 years, reaching GB senior level in 2013 at the age of 21. Shona made her full England Debut in 2014, and became a European Gold Medallist the following year, was nominated for the Lincolnshire Sports Woman of the Year in 2016 and has won 6 English National Titles to date. She currently plays for Holcombe Hockey Club.
Tom Carson (Midfield) gained his first international cap on his debut for the England Men’s Hockey team in a three-match series against Belgium, in Antwerp. Since then, Tom has accrued 75 caps, scoring 20 goals. Tom coaches for Reading University and currently plays for Reading Hockey Club, which is Premier Division of the national league and have recently qualified to play in the European Hockey League (EHL) again.
Beckie plays in the Premiership Hockey League for Surbiton HC and is a 7 time Premier League champion. Beckie captained England at Under 16 and 21 level and made her England senior debut at 17 years old against Japan in 2003. She made her debut for Great Britain against South Africa aged 20 in 2007. Since then Beckie has collected over 100 international caps; 72 for England and 32 for Great Britain. She has won a Bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games and is also a three time Bronze medallist at the European Championships.
Ed is currently in the Great Britain Men's team training towards Tokyo 2020 and already has 3 England Caps to his name as a rising star in British hockey. During the 2016 Junior World Cup, Ed was the top goal scorer and currently he plays for Wimbledon and is part of their first XI in the Premier Division and Euro Hockey Leagues. Previously, Ed has represented England in Indoor Europeans and played for Loughborough.
Crista is a Rio 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist and London 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist. She is widely recognised as one of the best hockey defenders in the world and has been dedicated to Leicester Hockey Club as an influential part of the team for over ten years. Crista accelerated quickly with her hockey, playing County, Regional and England before being honoured with her Great Britain Cap when she was 18 in 2003. Crista has over 185 Great Britain and England combined caps, Commonwealth, World Cup and European cup bronze medals, awarded Great Britain’s Hockey player of the year (2006) and named three times in the International Hockey Federation’s World All Stars Team (2006, 2007, 2010).
Having represented England through the junior ages from U14, U16, U18, U21, winning a silver medal at the U21 Junior Olympic Games, Darren has become a regular midfielder/forward in both the England and Great Britain. Currently at Southgate Hockey Club, Darren has previously played for Reading, East Grinstead, and Oranje Zwart in the Netherlands Premier League. Darren was voted English Premier League Player of the Season in 2008 and alongside playing has built a reputation coaching youngsters and internationals alike. Darren is currently helping to implement a national hockey coaching and performance programme for Ghana Women as part of an outreach coaching programme.
