The Coaches

Melissa Hyndman will be returning for October half term to coach at our Oxford and Winchester academies, and we have Surrey Storm player Frankie Wells coaching at Manor House academy - click here to learn about our coaches.

The Academies

The coaching team will introduce girls to the game’s most modern skills and strategies helping the young players master both basic and advanced skills using methods adopted by international players. There will be a constant emphasis on fun and skill development, with frequent match practice to build confidence on the court.

  • Developing powerful passing
  • Getting free from a marker
  • Attacking the circle edge
  • Timing the intercept
  • Shooting masterclass
  • Centre pass strategies
  • Man for man and zone defence
  • Developing netball skills through games

If there is a specific area or skill that you would like to gain more knowledge on then please let us know.

What to Bring

Children need to bring the following each day:

  • astro shoes and/or training shoes
  • a packed lunch and snacks
  • water bottle
  • suitable clothing for the weather conditions
